For Property Owners

How Matching Works

We connect property owners with vetted, licensed solar installers in their area — for free, with no obligation. Here's exactly how the process works from start to finish.

Four Steps from Submission to Solar

The entire process is designed to protect your time, your privacy, and your decision-making authority. You stay in control at every step.

01
📝
You submit your property

Fill out our simple intake form — it takes less than two minutes. We ask for your property address, type, approximate monthly energy bill, and your contact information. That's it. No credit check, no commitment, no pressure.

What we collect
  • Property address and type (residential, commercial, agricultural, etc.)
  • Approximate monthly electricity bill
  • Your name, email, and phone number
  • Any specific questions or preferences you have
02
🔍
We review and qualify your property

Our team reviews your submission to confirm the property is a good candidate for solar. We check basic factors like property type, location, and ownership status. We do not contact you with unsolicited offers — we match you first, then connect you.

What we verify
  • Property address is confirmed and located in our coverage area
  • Property type is eligible for solar installation
  • Ownership status is confirmed (owner-occupied preferred)
  • Basic site suitability — location, utility access
03
We route your property to matched installers

Your property information is sent to licensed, vetted solar installers in your area who specialize in your property type — not just whoever is available. We match on geography, specialty, and capacity so you're connected with someone who can actually serve you well.

How we choose your installers
  • Licensed and insured in your state
  • Experience with your specific property type
  • Available capacity in your zip code area
  • Performance track record and customer satisfaction history
04
☎️
Installers reach out and you decide

Matched installers will contact you to schedule a site assessment and provide a quote. You review your options, ask questions, and make a decision entirely on your own timeline. If you decide solar isn't right for you, there's no obligation — you owe nothing.

What to expect from your installer
  • A free site assessment and system design proposal
  • A detailed quote including equipment, installation, and incentives
  • Information on financing, leasing, and purchase options
  • Timeline for permitting, installation, and grid interconnection

Property Owner FAQ

The most common questions we get from property owners before they submit.

Is there any cost to submit my property? +
No — submitting your property through Heliora is completely free. We are compensated by the solar installers in our network, not by you. You will never be asked to pay anything as a property owner.
How many installers will contact me? +
Typically between one and three installers will reach out, depending on coverage in your area and your property type. We do not blast your information to dozens of companies — we make targeted matches to protect your time and inbox.
Can I decline if I don't like the quotes? +
Absolutely. There is no obligation at any point. If you review a quote and decide solar isn't right for you at this time, you simply decline. No fees, no penalties, no follow-up from Heliora.
How long does the process take? +
From submission to first contact from an installer is typically 24–72 hours. From first contact to a completed site assessment and quote is usually another one to two weeks. Actual installation timelines vary by jurisdiction due to permitting requirements, but most residential installs complete within 60–90 days of contract signing.
What if my property isn't a good fit for solar? +
If your property isn't a strong solar candidate — due to excessive shading, structural issues, or location — we'll let you know rather than wasting your time. Our network installers will only move forward on properties where solar makes economic and logistical sense.
Do I have to own the property to submit? +
For residential properties, owner-occupancy is strongly preferred. For commercial properties, we can sometimes work with tenants who have landlord approval for solar installations. If you're a tenant, include that information in your submission and we'll advise from there.
What incentives are available for solar? +
The federal Investment Tax Credit (ITC) currently offers a 30% tax credit on the cost of a solar installation for both residential and commercial properties. Many states offer additional credits, rebates, or net metering programs. Your installer will walk you through all incentives that apply to your specific property and situation. See our Solar Installation Guide for a full breakdown.
